Train Bell Resort is going to do something new this winter. We are leaving several condos and a villa open for the winter. These units can be rented by the day with a 2 night minimum or for a week.  A Villa will only cost $125 a night; the Condos are $250.00 a night. Also new for this year is snowmobile rentals are available through Lakes Area Recreation across the street. Fish houses are available on this lake or any of the surrounding lakes through the local guides we work with. Listed below are the areas winter events and ongoing winter activities. Upcoming winter events in the Brainerd Lakes Area include the Brainerd Jaycees Ice Fishing Extravaganza in February, Crosslake Winterfest in late January, and the Gull Lake Frozen Fore in March. Other activities involve ice fishing, snowmobiling on the extensive trail system, and downhill skiing/snowboarding at Mount Ski Gull.

Ice Fishing: Lakes like Gull Lake offer ice fishing opportunities for walleye, crappie, and sunfish, with the Ice Fishing Extravaganza being a major highlight.

Snowmobiling: The area has hundreds of miles of trails, including the Paul Bunyan Trail, with opportunities for both casual rides and organized events like the Pequot Lakes Antique Snowmobile Rendezvous and Radar Runs.
 

Skiing, Snowboarding and Snow Tubing: Mount Ski Gull provides options for downhill skiing, snowboarding, and snow tubing for all skill levels.
